Israel defender Alan Dershowitz named in Epstein court documents
The documents say convicted pedophile and billionaire Jeffrey Epstein forced an underage girl to have sex with the famous lawyer and Israel advocate on multiple occasions
Court filings from a lawsuit related to Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking conspiracy case have been unsealed, US news outlet Axios reported on 4 January, revealing new details of the relationship between prominent US lawyer and Israel advocate Alan Dershowitz and Epstein.
The documents revealed the names of roughly 150 people mentioned in previously redacted parts of the suit against Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of operating a sex trafficking ring with Epstein and sentenced to 20 years in prison. Epstein’s black book containing his client list was not released after Ghislaine's trial.
The newly revealed documents contain details about Dershowitz, the former Harvard law professor who is being considered to defend Israel against genocide charges being brought by South Africa at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Dershowitz has also promoted unsubstantiated claims that Hamas committed mass rapes against Israelis on 7 October during the Al-Aqsa Flood attack.
Forbes reports that according to the documents, “One such powerful individual that Epstein forced then-minor Jane Doe #3 to have sexual relations with was former Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz, a close friend of Epstein’s and well-known criminal defense attorney. Epstein required Jane Doe #3 to have sexual relations with Dershowitz on numerous occasions while she was a minor, not only in Florida but also on private planes, in New York, New Mexico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.”
Further, "Dershowitz came ‘pretty often’ to Epstein’s Florida mansion and got massages while he was there … Dershowitz was present alone at the home of Epstein, without his family, in the presence of young girls.”
The revelations shine additional light on Dershowitz's effort to promote changes to age of consent laws that would allow sex between adults and minors as young as 14.
Former President Clinton is mentioned more than 50 times in the court filings, but according to Axios, “the records do not indicate any evidence of illegality on Clinton's part, and his representatives said they did not object to the unsealing.”
In one instance, one of Epstein's accusers says he had remarked that Clinton "likes them young," referring to girls.
Epstein was convicted in 2008 for soliciting a minor for prostitution but was given a non-prosecution plea deal by the Miami US attorney, Alexander Acosta, who stated that he was warned to “back off" because Epstein was connected to an unnamed intelligence agency, which many presume is Israel’s Mossad.
Ghislaine Maxwell has also been linked to Mossad through her father Robert, who was a well-known agent of the Israeli spy organization. Six serving and former heads of Israeli intelligence services attended Robert's funeral in Israel, while Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir eulogized him and stated: "He has done more for Israel than can today be told."
Epstein was again arrested in 2019 on federal sex-trafficking charges. Epstein died while in prison awaiting his trial in mysterious circumstances. Prison authorities claim he committed suicide, however, this is disputed.
Epstein and Maxwell were known for taking high-profile businesspersons, politicians, and academics on Epstein’s private plane to his private island in the Caribbean. Epstein allegedly facilitated sex on the plane and at the island for his guests with both adults and minors.
Some speculate the purpose of this was to blackmail powerful people to act on Israel’s behalf.
The Times of Israel reported the allegation that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “attempted to use tapes of former US president Bill Clinton’s steamy conversations with intern Monica Lewinsky to leverage the release of Jonathan Pollard,” a US Naval analyst imprisoned for life for passing classified information to Israel.
President Clinton was impeached for his extra-marital affair with Lewinsky.
Netanyahu has also been linked to Epstein through a court case filed by the US Virgin Islands against JP Morgan Chase Bank, where Epstein maintained accounts.
The Daily Beast reported that the court documents show that "Epstein may have facilitated a get-together with JPMorgan bosses and Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.”
In March 2011, a JP Morgan employee sent an email message to Jes Staley, the bank's CEO, and other senior executives, stating: “Against all odds, we have been granted a meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu.” Staley forwarded the message to Epstein, to which Epstein responded, "Surprise, surprise," the Daily Beast reported.
Epstein also had ties with former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak and prominent academic Noam Chomsky.
